Return to Table portrays a collective of chefs and entrepreneurs across Europe as they pursue the future of gluten-free food and gastronomy to achieve inclusion via uncompromising and safe meals.
Driven by cinematic visual aesthetics and personal narratives, the film manifests the essential human joy of sharing a meal with friends and family.

A note from the filmmaker
I have experienced first-hand the challenges that come with celiac disease in social events, traveling and generally just by leaving the home.
While there are many more options today compared to decades ago, I find that there still is a long way to go and a lot of awareness about the condition and food safety that needs improvement.
In Return to Table I visited Italy, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom and Germany, where I live.
I strived to understand what motivates chefs and entrepreneurs to take the brave step to offer safe gluten-free meals, and what the inclusion means to people who have been diagnosed with celiac disease.
